Class records, 1868-1942.

These volumes contain class lists of St. Francis Seminary students and grades. Records are divided into Classical Department, and the Philosophy and Theology Departments. The Classical Department covered the first six years of seminary studies, and included four years of classical studies and two years of philosophy. The Philosophy and Theology Departments covered the last six years and included third and fourth philosophy classes and four years of theology. Boxes 2 and 3 contain faculty class record books (1887-1922) of student lists and grades, and occasionally addresses, birth or ordination dates, and parents' names.

The speech units appear to have been part of the curriculum of the Speech and/or English Departments at St. Francis Seminary.
